World Menstrual Hygiene Day observed by NIFAA

Awareness created among people by organizing "World Menstrual Hygiene Day" at Mon district, Nagaland

National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFAA) Nagaland branch in collaboration with local NGOs and civil societies organized "World Menstrual Hygiene Day" at KGBV Hostel Bumei and Government Middle School (GMS) Toby village in Mon district and GMS Unity Village, 5th Mile Dimapur, Nagaland.
In a press release, NIFAA state coordinator A Bejem Konyak and president Tiazungla Phom said that the camp was organized as part of a national level campaign conducted by the Baala Project and NIFAA.

President Tiazungla Phom and state coordinator Bejem Konyak highlighted on the benefits and importance of Project BAALA. Meanwhile, resource persons Medical Officer (MO), Dr Kaiba, MO, Dr Yingngam, and president Phom Students Union (PSU) Enyuh, each stressed on the topic of "Menstrual Hygiene". More than 250 BAALA reusable sanitary napkins were distributed to women and girls during the programme.

In a press note, Changlangshu Women Welfare Society (CWWS) Mon secretary, Angel Konyak informed that Medical Officer (MO) PHC, Changlangshu, Dr Kaiba provided awareness on "Menstrual Hygiene" after which KGBV Centre organized a marathon race for the KGBV girls. Later, Baala reusable sanitary pads were distributed freely to the Girls followed by an awareness session on the topic, "Menstrual Hygiene".
