In the midst of cases of white and black fungus, which are already rising in the country, the first-ever incident of 'Cream Fungus' has been detected in India.
This case is from Jabalpur, where the patient is going through treatment at the ENT department of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College. As per the officials, a case of cream fungus was detected in a patient who had Covid-19 infections, along with the white and black fungus.
The cases of black and white fungus are on a constant rise in Madhya Pradesh.

Currently, this hospital at Jabalpur is treating 106 Covid-19 patients, out of which 36 have gone through operation for fungal infection.
Meanwhile, the Union Government has ramped up the production process of Amphotericin B Emulsion injections, used to treat black fungus cases. The government has also directed more companies to start producing this particular medicine considering that, at present, only one company is manufacturing it.
The price of this medicine dropped to Rs 1200 from Rs 7000.
