Vaccination process in Assam creates medical milestone
The Health Minister of Assam thanked all from the health industry for making vaccination a great success in Assam
As a result of all the awareness created regarding the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccination, it was witnessed that people were stepping out of their homes to get them vaccinated to protect from Covid-19.
This zeal among the people has helped in achieving a milestone in the vaccination drive.
Till October 27, the number of people who registered in Cowin for the first dosage of their vaccination has been counted as 2,00,06,618 while 76,11,639 people have received the second dose.
Over 1.22 lakh doses have been administered till October 27 across2,616 centres out of which 2,606 were government centres.
The Assam Government has planned to link the Government welfare schemes to the Covid-19 vaccination status, which means that those who have taken their Covid jabs will be eligible to get the benefits of government welfare schemes.Assam chief minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to thank all the health workers for making the vaccination drive a great success. Sarma even expressed his gratitude to Narendra Modi for making the Covid vaccination drive a true "Jan Andolan".

As per the information shared by the health department, the latest daily positivity rate has been 0.81%.
The Assam Government has planned to link the Government welfare schemes to the Covid-19 vaccination status, which means that those who have taken their Covid jabs will be eligible to get the benefits of government welfare schemes.
In a recent conversation with Fit Northeast, the Medical Officer at the Dispur state dispensary, Dr. Sangeeta Chetia Choudhury said that there has been an increase in the number of Covid cases but the people coming in for vaccination have always been constant.
She added that people are now becoming aware and have voluntarily come forward to take their Covid-19 vaccination.
