US to receive Pfizer's Covid-19 jabs by October

As assumed that the third wave might affect the children, researchers all over the world trying to release vaccines for children

According to the former head of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the US drugmaker Pfizer's Covid vaccination is likely to get authorization for providing vaccines to children aged between 5 and 12 by October.
Currently, in the US only the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines have been given permission for emergency use for children aged 12 and above. Along with Pfizer, the vaccines produced by Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are also undergoing clinical trials to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine in protecting children.
It was announced that the result of the Pfizer vaccines for children is expected in September.
Even in India, the Serum Institute of India received permission from the Indian Drug Regulatory in July to conduct the Phase 2/3 trials of Covovax among children aged 2 to 17.
Gottlieb, who is a member of Pfizer's board of directors, said that after filing data with the FDA at some point next month, it will be authorized for emergency use for children by October.

It was informed that Pfizer has been conducting clinical trials of its Covid-19 shots in children aged 2 and above and the results will be out by November.
