The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal attended the prestigious North East Research Conclave (NERC), 2022 organised at the Indian Institute of Technology on May 20. Speaking on this historic occasion, Union Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal, said, "The North East Research Conclave (NERC) is a great platform for the student community to articulate the mantra of our leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji to reform, perform and transform. This pious institution, which is born out of the historic Assam Accord, has made our country proud by contributing immensely. I call upon the student community and researchers to amply use this wonderful institution to incubate their ideas toward academic excellence & nation-building. India is becoming a global leader under the dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi Ji and we must remain at it during our lifetimes and build a foundation for our future generations to take this movement forward."
