Total Containment has been Removed, Further Order after 7 August
The positivity rate has become moderate in Golaghat and Lakhimpur districts, no round the clock curfew in the state
The Assam Government has issued a revised and consolidated directive for both rural and urban areas that has come into force from 3 August 2021, until further order.
As per the order, there will be no round the clock curfew in the state. The positivity rate has become moderate in Golaghat and Lakhimpur districts where curfew will be from 2 PM to 5 AM. In the rest of the districts, curfew will be from 5 PM to 5 AM.
Further decision will be considered after 7 August 2021 depending on the progression on reduction of case loadRegarding restrictions on inter-district passenger transport services and movement of people to and from other districts, need based conduct of offline classes in some premier institutions, re-opening of religious places, and state protected monuments and sites etc., decision will be considered after 7 August 2021 depending on the progression on reduction of case load.

Other restrictions including odd-even formula for plying of vehicles, declaration of containment zones and exemptions as notified in the order of 27 July 2021 shall continue to remain in force.
