Three youth from Assam doing wonders to retrieve the Green Nature

Since December last, these three youths have been educating people about how to make the Earth a plastic-free zone

We all are aware of the fact that plastic is gradually poisoning nature but the truth is that we are dependent on plastic.
Studies by experts say that plastic waste takes hundreds or even thousands of years to break down causing long-lasting environmental damage. According to researchers, scientists, plastic pollution causes harm to humans, animals and plants through toxic pollutants. It affects all organisms in the food chain from tiny species to big animals.
Despite knowing all the facts about plastic, we still do not wish to leave it behind.
Challenging all the odds, three youths of Dhakuakhana subdivision of the Lakhimpur district have initiated unique steps to create awareness against plastic wastes in the picnic spots.
The youths drew the attention and appreciation of nature lovers by managing nests for birds on several trees in the Gandhi Maidan located in Dhakuakhana town.
These three youths, viz-- Rantu Chetia, Dhruba Akash Chetia and Bikash Chetia, inhabitants of Chetia Gaon, have removed the plastic waste seen scattered here and there.
