The second Oxygen Express Train arrives in Guwahati

Another effort by the Northeast Frontier Railway brings relief for Covid patients

While the struggle to make Assam free from Covid-19 continues, the Northeast Frontier Railway is putting their full efforts to assist the state government in every possible way.
The second train carrying liquid medical oxygen has arrived at Amingaon in Guwahati on Wednesday.
As per sources, the train left from Tata Nagar in Jharkhand on May 25  and is carrying 4 containers loaded with 80 metric tons of liquid medical oxygen which will be used for treating the Covid-19  patients.
So far, a total of 17945 metric tons has been delivered across various states in which more than 1080 tankers have been used.
A green corridor was created so that the train could arrive at the Inland Depot at Amingaon in Guwahati at the earliest.

The first Oxygen Express had reached Assam on May 23 which was released from Tata Nagar and carried 80 metric tons of liquid medical oxygen. The train was received by Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and the oxygen containers were handed over to the state health department.
The Indian Railways are putting its full efforts to deliver more and more oxygen to every city across the country.
