Spike of Covid -19 positive cases in Dibrugarh University

A total of 59 people within the campus of the prestigious Dibrugarh University have tested positive on January 20. The list of the infected people includes teachers, students and other working staff.

The current positivity rate at the university is 29%. 7 hostels within the campus were declared micro-containment zones prior to the third wave. The entire campus of the university turns into a hot spot.

It was said that all the necessary precautions were taken to protect all the health care workers and the doctors. Arrangements have been made to vaccinate all the frontline workers.

On the other hand, several health workers including doctors, nurses and ASHA workers at the Gohpur Mohokuma health centre. Sources have informed that workers at several health institutions within the periphery have tested positive for Covid-19.

It was said that all the necessary precautions were taken to protect all the health care workers and the doctors. Arrangements have been made to vaccinate all the frontline workers. Along with it, arrangements for testing have been made at every bus stand, railway station. ASHA workers and ANM have been sent to the villages for creating awareness among the masses.
