Shishu Sarothi to Announce 2021-22 ITSP Scholarship to 120 Specially Abled Children
Class 10 passed students can go for any course under this program starting from class 11 onwards

Shishu Sarothi in partnership with Indus Tower Limited will be announcing the 2021-22 ITSP scholarship to 120 deserving students. It was informed that the scholarship will be given to the students on the basis of their merit. Through this scholarship program, any student with any kind of disability like visual impairment, hearing impairment, locomotive disability or anyone who has a disability certificate will be eligible to take the benefits of this program.
The Indus Tower Scholarship Program (ITSP) is a CRS initiative of the business group Indus Tower Limited which was formerly known as Bharti Infratel Limited. The Indus Tower Scholarship program works in order to promote educational and professional development.
Started in the year 1987 by Ms Rima Kagti along with a few like-minded ladies, Sishu Sarothi is an organization which works in order to enable and empower people and children having a various developmental disability, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, down syndrome and autism.
Speaking to Fit North East, Executive Director of the organization Ms Ketaki Bardalai said that Shishu Sarothi also conducts school readiness programs, special education programs, vocational training programs and service delivery.
This scholarship program is in its second phase in this year. This scholarship program provides the opportunity to the students from the entire North East to get a chance to pursue any career option of their choice in anywhere in India.During the conversation Ms Bardalai stated, "The amount of money given to the students will cover the complete expanse of the course they take up, which will include their admission fees, tuition fees and examination fees. The student needs to pass class 10 and he/she can go for any course under this program starting from class 11 onward."
This scholarship program was first introduced in the year 2016 and under this a considerable number of students got scholarship. Many of them have now completed their education and some are on the verge of completion of their courses.
In an interview with Fit North East, Ms Seema Jangid, Program Manager at Shishu Sarothi and also an educator, entrepreneur and a certified CSR professional said, "This scholarship program is in its second phase in this year. This scholarship program provides the opportunity to the students from the entire North East to get a chance to pursue any career option of their choice in anywhere in India. The scholarships will mainly finance their admission fees along with the exam and tuition fee till the completion of their courses."
"For smooth execution of this program, partnerships have been established with local organizations from each State of the North East. Interested students can click on www.ssscholarship.org on or before August 15 this year and get all the details. Registration can be done both by the online and offline procedure", she added.
