Serum Institute of India To Make 10 cr Covishield Available by Next Month

In a letter to the centre, authorities reveal regarding availability of vaccination to the command man. This report has complete detail.

Replying to all the complaints by other states regarding scarcity or lack of vaccines, the Serum Institute of India has informed the Indian Government that it will be able to manufacture and supply vaccination.
About 10 crore doses of Covishield set to be manufactured and supplied in June.
A letter to the Home Minister, Amit Shah, reveals that all the employees at the Serum Institute of India are putting their full efforts to get vaccinations produced in time.
The Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs at SII, Mr Prakash Kumar Singh, said that in the month of May, 6.5 crores vaccine doses were manufactured.
SII assures the maximum utilisation of the best resources in this manufacturing process. The vaccine manufacturing would rap up to 6.5 crore doses in June, 7 crore in July and 10 crores each in August and September.
Singh also thanked Amit Shah for his valuable guidance and continuous support and making the mantra "Atmanirbhar India" effective.

Adding to that, he said that dedicated teams are working under the leadership of Adar C Ponnawala, the CEO of SII, whose principal motive is the concern of the people of their nation.
SII assures the maximum utilisation of the best resources in this manufacturing process. The vaccine manufacturing would rap up to 6.5 crore doses in June, 7 crore in July and 10 crores each in August and September.
Currently, India is utilising two vaccines, namely, Covishield, produced by Serum Institute of India and Covaxin, manufactured by Bharat Biotech.
