School Innovation Ambassador Training Programme to begin from 20 July
More than 50,000 school teachers to receive training under the jointly launched program designed by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education and AICTE.
The "SCHOOL INNOVATION AMBASSADOR TRAINING PROGRAM" has been jointly launched by Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and Tribal Affairs Minister Shri Arjun Munda on 16 July 2021 . The program aims to provide virtual training to 50,000 teachers on innovation, entrepreneurship, IPR, design thinking, product development and idea generation. It has been launched in collaborative efforts by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, CBSE and AICTE. The program is designed by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education and AICTE.
Saluting the teachers during the launch, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said that teachers are the main pillar of the success of every student and the students are the future of the nation. During the time of the pandemic everyone is forced to be dependent on technology as they cannot move out of their houses. "So this time also the teachers will have to make the maximum use of technology to get them trained. This will nurture students with innovative capabilities, develop a culture of innovation and lay the foundation of a new and vibrant India", Pradhan said.
The program aims to provide virtual training to 50,000 teachers on innovation, entrepreneurship, IPR, design thinking, product development and idea generation.
Arjun Munda, minister of tribal affairs said that this program will provide wings of creativity to the children and will also provide a platform so that they can give something new to the world with their ideas.

Adding to his speech, Munda mentioned that the "EKLAVYA MODEL RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL" for the tribal children is another initiative taken by Narendra Modi which will ensure the establishment of 740 EMRS in the upcoming 3 years in tribal-dominated areas. An Adi-Prashikshan portal was launched by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs which is expected to be beneficial to the teachers and students if the SIAP training gets clubbed with it.
More than 10,000 schools have nominated 5 teachers each from their schools to participate in this training program. The first batch of the training will be starting from 20 July 2021.
