Purabi Dairy creates awareness on health benefits of yoga, milk

Guwahati-based Purabi Dairy organised yoga sessions to motivate everyone to embrace yoga

A healthy day begins with a perfect yoga session and a glass of nutritious milk.
Keeping in tune with the above mentioned statement, Guwahati-based Purabi Dairy organised yoga sessions to motivate everyone to embrace yoga as a part of a healthy lifestyle on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga on 21June. Around 100 participants came together for special yoga sessions at the Purabi Dairy plant at Panjabari and other centres at Barpeta and Morigaon. Around 15 participants from Kamdhenu DUSS of Barpeta took part in the session while another 25 participants practised yoga at Kapili DUSS of Morigaon. West Assam Milk Producers' Cooperative Union, popularly known by the brand name Purabi Dairy organised these yoga sessions to promote a healthy lifestyle. The yoga sessions were followed by the distribution of milk, which essentially completes a nutritious day.
A praiseworthy initiative by Purabi Dairy was to create awareness of the benefits of yoga and milk for a healthy body and mind through a catchy radio campaign over the past few weeks leading to the main event. Yoga instructor Sachin Kumar Nath guided the sessions and helped the Purabi Dairy employees and associates learn basic exercises.
It may be recalled that Purabi Dairy on 1 June observed World Milk Day by flagging off two Purabi Dairy branded vehicles to generate awareness about the benefits of milk and milk products.
