Narendra Modi speaks regarding the current covid situation and upcoming decisions

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the nation through a televised speech.
During the speech, he mentioned that from June 21, the central government would provide free Covid 19 vaccines to all citizens above the age of 18. Vaccines are being purchased for people aged 18-45. The centre will take charge of the process over the next two weeks.
At this time, Assam has vaccinated 43,38,790 people on Sunday, which include both first and second doses.
Modi informed that a total of seven companies across India are working to produce vaccines. The vaccines which will be manufactured in India will be free of cost. The process of importing vaccines from abroad has been sped up to make them available.
Modi further added that people willing to pay for the vaccine could avail of it in private hospitals as well. The private hospitals will be able to charge a maximum of Rs 150 per dose. Only 25% procurement of vaccines will be allowed by the private hospitals.

Modi informed that a total of seven companies across India are working to produce vaccines. The vaccines which would be manufactured in India will be free of cost. The process of importing vaccines from abroad has been sped up to make them available.
Modi expressed his concern towards the very vulnerable children.
