Precautions needed to ensure a smooth and healthy pregnancy

The phase of pregnancy is the most joyous as well as tuff or critical period. During these 9 months of pregnancy, it all depends on the lady about how she takes care of herself. Her works and actions directly influence the baby. In conversation with a senior gynaecologist, Dr Rashi Das, it is always safe to opt for pregnancy from the age of 20 to 30. Proper planning and awareness are very important for both the parents as well as the family members.
In order to make the process of conception easy, the new parents of the present age can go through pre-conception counselling in which they are educated by a doctor regarding various precautions to b taken if the mother has health issues like diabetes, thyroid, underweight (below 40 Kg) or if she has any past history of haemoglobin problem. If such issues are sorted prior to the pregnancy, the pregnancy becomes easy and uneventful. 
Regarding the cost, it was mentioned that the basic price that the total of the entire pregnancy process from conception to delivery takes Rs 2 lakhs. During the phase of pregnancy, it is extremely important for the woman to adjust her workload and take lots of rest as she needs to be psychologically fit for carrying her pregnancy. In the medical field, there is a vaccine named MMR vaccine, after 3 months of taking it, a woman can conceive. Some blood tests like hepatitis surface antigen, HIV, thyroid, haemoglobin can be very helpful in detecting several health issues prior to starting the pregnancy.
At the basic phase of pregnancy, it is extremely important to fix the doctor and the hospital which the girl will be visiting throughout the nine months. In the early stages of pregnancy, the intake of folic acids are important as its a part of the vitamin B complex and prevents certain defects in the developing fetus (especially the neural-tube defects in the fetus).
The diet should be given priority after the 3rd trimester, as it is the time when the baby is getting full functional maturity, gaining weight and is coming into a proper shape.
The mother should take a homemade, clean and nutritious diet in the form of small but frequent meals along with liquid diets of 1.5 to 2 litres.

The liquid intake is very important as due to nausea and vomiting, there may be loss of liquid and the lady might go into dehydration. A doctor should be consulted before the pregnant lady takes any medication.

Some special yoga gives relaxation to the back and thigh muscles which often gets tired. 
During the time of pregnancy, the lady should be taken out to stay at her mother's place or to some other place as sometimes a change in location also gives a chance and makes the girl feel better. Apart from that the people of the family or home should be emotionally supportive and should give their maximum time to the pregnant woman to keep her happy. If possible, a spiritual atmosphere should be created in the home to maintain the soothing atmosphere in the home.
