New Covid SOP issued by Assam State Disaster Management Authority

From today, new curfew timing is 6 PM - 5 AM, there is restriction in the opening of educational institutions and interstate travel

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority has issued a new set of new guidelines which will remain in force from today, August 10 until further order. In all districts, the new curfew timing is from 6 PM till 5 AM. All the business or commercial establishments, shops, restaurants, eateries, showrooms, cold storage, warehouses will be open till 5 PM.
According to the new SOP, if more than 10 positive cases come up in the same area, then that area will be declared a containment zone. However, in such zones, emergency services will be open round the clock. Essential services including shops dealing food items like fruits and vegetables, milk and dairy products, animal fodder to be open till 5 PM. Delivery of all essential goods including food, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment through e-commerce will continue 24 hours.
All the government servants who have taken at least one dose of their Covid-19 vaccine shall attend office regularly. Employees, who have not taken vaccines, will have to attend office as and when their services are required by their respective authorities. Pregnant women or women with children up to 5 years or below working under Government/PSU/Financial Institutions have the freedom to work from home.

The service of goods transport shall be continued unhindered. Pillion riding will be totally prohibited in two-wheelers, except with women and children. All inter-district passenger transport services and movement of people to and fro across districts shall remain closed.

All educational institutions will continue with their virtual method of teaching. Any kind of meeting and gathering is not allowed in open spaces. It is allowed in closed venues, except marriages, birthdays, get-togethers with prior permission from the Deputy Commissioner up to one-third of the hall capacity with a ceiling of a maximum of 200 fully vaccinated people. A maximum of 10 people is allowed to participate in marriage, funeral rites and other religious functions. Hotels and resorts will be open till 5 PM. Weekly haat and bazaars shall remain closed. Pharmacies, hospitals and vet clinics remain open round the clock.
Wearing of face mask is mandatory in all public places. Shopkeepers and customers, both should wear masks and social distancing should be maintained among customers in shops too.
As per data by issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department on August 9, 1120 news Covid-19 cases were detected. The positivity rate is 0.80%. A total of 1066 patients have been discharged and 17 people have died in the last 24 hours.
Kamrup Metro recorded the highest number of cases numbering to 194 followed by Barpeta having 74 fresh cases, Golaghat having 68 and Lakhimpur having 67.
As registration on the CoWIN app shows, a total of 1,27,03,870 beneficiaries have received their vaccinations till date.
