NEET Exam scheduled on 12 September 2021, Application Process Begins from 13 July

The National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) for under graduate medical, dental as well as alternative or traditional medicine and nursing courses will be held on 12 September 2021, announced Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The NEET-UG 2021 examination was previously scheduled to be conducted on 1 August 2021.
The application process will begin from 5 pm on 13 July through the National Testing Agency website.
In order to ensure social distancing norms, number of cities where examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of examination centres will also be increased from the 3862 centres used in 2020.

Pradhan also said, "To ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, face mask will be provided to all candidates at the centre. Staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc. will also be ensured."
It is not yet decided whether there will be any reduction in the NEET syllabus or greater internal choice will be provided in the question paper, taking into account the fact that many school boards had reduced their syllabi by up to 30% due to the pandemic.
