National Health Mission issues Japanese Encephalitis data

Being the pioneer institution dedicated to serve the health sector of the country, the Assam chapter of the National Health Mission has issued the latest data regarding the number of Japanese Encephalitis cases in Assam. As per the data published by NHM, Assam on August 4, 2022, the state currently has 3 fresh cases of Japanese Encephalitis. One case each was reported from Barpeta, Golaghat and Sivasagar. Five deaths were reported from the state on August 4, 2022. Two deaths were reported each from Morigaon and Sonitpur and one from Darang.

According to the NHM Assam data, the cumulative total Japanese Encephalitis in this season (July onwards) till August 4, 2022, is 329.
