National Health Authority launches new health application

Over 4 lakh people have registered in this app, which is also available on Google Play store

It was on May 24 that the National Health Authority (NHA) under its flagship Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission launched a revamped Ayushman Bharat Health Account mobile application. This new version of the app was previously known as NDHM Health Records App and is available on the Google Play store. The App has already been downloaded by over 4 lakh people. The updated version of the application has a new user interface and some functions which makes it possible to access any kind of health data/record from anywhere at any point of time. A person can create an individual folder where they can keep all the records relating to their health investigations and related reports. It can be done after creating a username that can be linked with the 14 digit randomly generated ABHA number. It also enables the users to link their health records created by the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
This app also permits the user to upload diagnostic reports, prescriptions and CoWIN vaccination certificates to the ABDM-complaint health lockers and share those through networks.
Moreover this app also allows its user to edit their profiles if necessary and modify their contact details.
According to Dr R.S. Sharma, CEO, of National Health Authority (NHA), the ABHA app will be instrumental in helping citizens to create their longitudinal health records.
