Nagaland's Mon District to receive medical equipment donations

The equipment includes an ECG machine, haematology analyzer, biochemistry analyzer, dental x-ray and a portable x-ray machine

Rural Electrification Foundation (REC) in a move that would augment facilities at District Hospital Mon, will donate medical equipment worth approximately Rs 1.64 crore to the hospital. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) has been executed between REC Foundation, District Hospital Mon and Mon Deputy Commissioner (DC) in this regard according to Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mon, Thavaseelan K. The project will be fully funded by REC under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme. A project Implementation Committee consisting of representatives from REC Foundation, doctors from District Hospital, Mon and officers from Mon District administration has been constituted to oversee the implementation of the project.
Crypto Relief and SELCO foundation in a major boost to Healthcare institutions in Mon District are partnering with the District administration in providing them integrated solar energy solutions.
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) under the initiative of Mon District administration Mon, would be donating medical equipment worth approximately Rs 40 lakh to Community Health Centres (CHC) at Aboi and Tobu in Mon District. Deputy Commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K said that a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was executed among IOC Ltd, the DC office and District Coordination Committee (DCC) represented by Mon Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in this regard. The procurement of medical equipment is to strengthen Healthcare services at the two CHCs. The project will be fully funded by IOC as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme, while the DC office and DCC will oversee its implementation. The equipment includes an ECG machine, haematology analyzer, biochemistry analyzer, dental x-ray and a portable x-ray machine with a digital CR system which will be provided to Aboi and Tobu CHCs.

Crypto Relief and SELCO foundation in a major boost to Healthcare institutions in Mon District are partnering with the District administration in providing them with integrated solar energy solutions. DC Mon informed that the partnership between the state government represented by DC of Mon, Crypto Relief and SELCO Foundation seek to create a scalable model for health facilities to become more resilient to future emergencies and well equipped to meet the needs of the remotest and poorest communities in Nagaland. Being part of the programme from inception, DC Mon, Thavaseelan K said the District was grateful to SELCO Foundation and Crypto Relief for providing integrated solar energy solutions at 55 Health Units including the District Hospital at a cost of approximately 2.86 chores. He said Healthcare service delivery would acquire a new meaning forthwith and that the team at SELCO Foundation understood the energy needs of the Healthcare system, assessed the gaps and created an effective solution for basic Healthcare services.
