Nagaland records 9 fresh COVID-19 cases with 1 death

Along with the 9 fresh covid cases, one more person succumbed to the virus bringing the death toll to 754 in the state

Weeks after six districts were issued yellow Alert in the state of Nagaland, 9 more fresh covid cases along with 1 death were recorded in the last 24 hours.
Out of the 9 fresh covid cases, three were from Tuensang, five from Dimapur and one from Phek. Along with the 9 fresh covid cases, one more person succumbed to the virus bringing the death toll to 754 in the state. Altogether, the total caseload of fresh covid cases in Nagaland stands at 35,381 with a death toll of 754 which includes 4 non-covid deaths but had been tested positive.
An additional of 21378 people have also received their booster dose which was followed by 75112 teenagers between the age of 15-18 years who had also received their coaxing shot.
Also, the number of vaccinated people against COVID-19 in the state stands at 1440107 till the month of February. This includes 812762 people who had received their first dose of the vaccine along with 627345 people who had received their second dose.

This includes 57933 first dose and 17179-second dose. Altogether, 1440107 people in Nagaland have received either their first or second dose. India logged 15,102 new infections taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 4,28,67,031 while the death toll has reached 5,12,622 with 278 fresh new deaths. Also, 230 children aged between 2-6 years have become the youngest to receive the covid vaccine as confirmed by the Serum Institute of India.
