Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh inaugurated several health facilities for the general public yesterday. After the launch of the 'Go to Hills 2.0' campaign at the Peace Ground, Churachandpur followed a series of inauguration of more than 30 projects.
The Chief Minister said that, under the Go to Hills mission, the government has taken up various infrastructural projects for inclusive development. Hundreds of projects have been inaugurated and many are ongoing for the welfare of the people, he added.
The minister visited the Singhat sub-divisional headquarters and inaugurated a 30 bedded Special Block of Community Health Care and handed over an ambulance to the authorities.
After the launch of the 'Go to Hills 2.0' campaign at the Peace Ground, Churachandpur followed a series of the inauguration of more than 30 projects.The minister also inaugurated a Trauma Care Center and a PSA Oxygen Plant of 500 LPM along with an ambulance at the District Hospital at Churachandpur.
Addressing the gathering at an event, Singh said that 'Go to Hills' 2.0 is a scheme that targets welfare of the locals under different departments such as Pradhan Mantri Anna Yojana, Certified Health Care Technology Manager, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and livelihood support scheme for the ones who were affected by Covid -19.
He assured that these schemes will deliver at the doorstep of every needy and deserving and expressed his hope that the projects would bring happiness to the lives of the people.
The Chief Minister also said that items worth Rs 51.52 crore were distributed among 59,837 beneficiaries under the Go to Hills mission.
