Mizoram Government extends state wide partial lockdown till 31st August

Fresh guidelines have been issued for the extended partial lockdown

The Mizoram Government has extended a state wide partial lockdown till 31st August to contain the spread of novel coronavirus in the state. This extension reiterates the seriousness and commitment of the state government to contain the transmission of the disease. Incidentally, Mizoram has the lowest number of infections in the North East region.
According to the new guidelines:
In the Aizawl Municipal Corporation area, vehicles shall ply on a rotation basis based on the registration numbers.
Business establishments and shops will be open and commercial activities shall be allowed. However, there will be strict adherence to social distancing norms.
All the educational institutions and coaching centres shall remain closed. The training institutes under the Centre and the state government shall be allowed to open with strict adherence to the SOPs issued by the Central Government.
Commercial activities have been allowed and business establishments can function subject to stringent protocols
Religious functions and other large social gatherings are not allowed.

Night curfew shall be imposed in all district headquarters between 8:30 pm and 4:30 am.
Gatherings of more than 5 people are strictly prohibited.
The main airport shall continue to operate during the extended lockdown. Inter-district and inter-state movement for commercial and private vehicles is allowed.
All international and inter-state borders will continue to remain closed, barring three entry points.
