Medical Advancement In The Field Of Surgery
The introduction of a new surgery robot is expected to bring new rays of hope and make surgeries easier.
Renowned surgeon and chief medical director of Swagat Hospital, Dr Subhash Khanna, has bought a new horizon in the field of surgery.
Dr Khanna on Friday introduced the 'VERSIUS' Robotic Surgical System at an educational webinar titles 'INTRODUCTION TO VERSIUS SURGICAL ROBOT'.
The webinar was attended by over 250 doctors from several countries, namely Algeria, Australia, Belgium, Germany, Brazil, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, UK, UAE and others from India.
Swagat Super Specialty Hospital has Northeast India's first Versius robot, a total of the same 13 such robots in the country.
The webinar was one and a half-hour long, and during that time span, Dr Khanna did a live demonstration of a severe gall bladder surgery with the help of the robot.

It is crucial for us to know that only a single and bulky robot has been here for over 20 years.
It was in the year 2019 when the 'CMR VERSIUS' was introduced at Cambridge. The researchers started working on smaller and less expensive robots.
Swagat Super Specialty Hospital has Northeast India's first Versius robot, a total of the same 13 such robots in the country. This robot has successfully done several surgeries like gall bladder, Appendicitis, hernias, robotic gynaecological surgeries, ovarian cyst and many more.
