World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April. In 1948, the WHO held the First World Health Assembly. The Assembly decided to celebrate 7 April of each year, with effect from 1950, as World Health Day.Hence, the management of Marwari Hospitals has decided to organise a Blood Donation Camp for their own employees which in turn will motivate and help to get rid of the fear of blood donation from common people of the society. The management has also decided that as a token of appreciation, the donor employees will be allowed to leave for that day after donating blood and will be awarded a certificate of appreciation for becoming a part of this noble cause."

The program of voluntary blood donation on Thursday started exactly at 10 am with the Director, Medical Services of Marwari Hospitals, Dr J.P.Sarma self-being the first donor of the day.
