Lav Agarwal brief media regarding the present Covid situation

In the National News, Lav Agarwal today briefed the media regarding the latest Covid situation in India.

Addressing the media, the Joint Secretary of the Health Ministry stated that the Covid situation in the country is improving. According to the latest survey, there are 24 states in India where the number of cases is going down, and those states have recorded less than 1000 cases per day. Along with it, 365 districts have shown drastic reduction.

The statistics show an overall decline in positive cases in the last five weeks. The overall graph of Covid infection is witnessing a decline. Covid recovery rate is rising.

The positivity rate on May 3 was 81.8%, and on June 10, it has reached 91.9%.

Along with patients being admitted to hospitals, the process of testing is simultaneously going on.

He highlighted that India is the 2nd largest country to get vaccinated. Almost all the frontline workers have been vaccinated. The process of vaccination of the 18-44 has also started.

Before concluding, he reminded us to be responsible by wearing a mask and using sanitisers. He said that we would have to stop the infectious disease by maintaining hand hygiene. It is very early to watch every symptom and test at the earliest. Early detection is the best prevention.
