India to get two new indigenous Covid-19 vaccines

Union Health Minister announced that the hard work of the Indian researcher has made it possible within a few months

The Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has announced that two more indigenous vaccines are ready to be available for the country.
This was announced by the minister at the Lok Sabha on Monday. The Union Health Minister, on the passage of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (Amendment) Bill, 2021, said, "The third phase of trial data for both the new vaccines has been submitted".

Mandaviya informed that great hopes are being made for these two particular vaccines as they have been manufactured in India and is a product of the hard work of Indian researchers.

He said that the government has approved a productive linked incentive scheme of Rs 14,000 crore to ensure the manufacturing of 51 APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) in the country.
The minister also mentioned that the third phase trial data for both the new vaccines have been submitted. Hopes are being made that the new vaccines which are being produced in just 9 months will show good results in giving protection to the people.
