IIT-G adheres to COVID protocols on campus for safe return of students

The institute has put on-campus testing, isolation and vaccination facilities in place with the medical section

IIT-Guwahati has put in place all protocols to ensure a safe return of the students to its campus in a phase-wise manner amid improvement in the COVID-19 situation.
The institute, located in North Guwahati, has put on-campus testing, isolation and vaccination facilities in place with the medical section adhering to the standard protocols for COVID-19 care and treatment.
"All returning students must be fully vaccinated and should produce their vaccination certificates upon arrival. If a student develops any symptom during the stay, he/she should inform the medical section, get tested, and undergo isolation as per the protocol," a statement from the institute on Thursday said.
All Ph.D/Dual Degree students, including those undergoing course work, along with B.Tech/B.Design Final year (2018 batch) and earlier batches have started returning from February 19, 2022 onwards. The campus return process will continue till March 10, 2022.
The second phase has also started for M.A/M.Sc/M.Tech/M.Des/MS(R) Final year (2020 batch) and earlier batches to return to the campus from February 23 to March 10, 2022.
The return schedule for the fourth and final phase has been scheduled from March 14 to 20, 2022 for B.Tech/B.Des 3rd year and 2nd year (2019 batch and 2020 batch) and BTech/BDes 1st year (2021 batch)
Besides, the third phase will allow M.A/M.Sc/M.Tech/M.Des/M.S(R) 1st year (2021 batch) to return between February 28, 2022, and March 10, 2022.

The return schedule for the fourth and final phase has been scheduled from March 14 to 20, 2022 for B.Tech/B.Des 3rd year and 2nd year (2019 batch and 2020 batch) and BTech/BDes 1st year (2021 batch).
Besides, only the students eligible for registration for the current semester are permitted to return.
"The students must fill in their arrival details in the return portal and plan their travel to reach the campus as per the return schedule," the statement said.
