Health City hospital organises live Gynaecological Endoscopy session

A senior doctor in the hospital says that surgery through this procedure will be very helpful for the patient

The Northeastern branch of the Indian Association of Gynecological Endoscopy in association with the Health City Hospital organized a live workshop was organized on gynecological endoscopy in Guwahati on Saturday.
As part of the workshop, six patients were successfully operated on.  Each of the endoscopic surgeries was portrayed through the online medium at the various centres of the respective hospitals where it was performed.

Among these six patients, live surgery videos of two patients were shown at Kolkata, Bhuvaneshwar and Patna.
The gynecologist and obstetrician of the hospital, Dr. Kalpana Choudhurysaid that this workshop was organized in order to popularize gynecological endoscopy among the medical fraternity in Assam.

The gynaecologist and obstetrician of the hospital, Dr Kalpana Choudhury informed the media that this workshop was organized in order to popularize the gynaecological endoscopy among the medical fraternity in Assam.
Describing the procedure, Dr. Choudhury said this procedure can minimize the pain of the patient, reduce the stays in hospitals, lessen the intensity of bleeding and the chances of infection are less.  It also promotes the quick recovery of the patient.
Dr Arun Madhab Barua, who is the Northeast head of the secretary of the Indian Association of Gynecological Endoscopy was present at the program along with the chief surgeon (behind the surgery) Dr Yashodhan Deka.

The Chief Managing Director of HCH, Dr Bhabananda Das, senior gynaecologist Dr Alaka Das, Dr Gokul Chandra Das, Dr Bhabani Chakrabarti also took part in the event. 
Addressing the gatherings, Dr Bhabani Chakrabarti said that the health facility in Assam, particularly in Guwahati has become so updated that patients now do not need to go outside for their treatment.
