September 29 is observed as World Heart Day. In this connection, the entire September month is observed as a month to create awareness on the heart and heart-related issues.

With an aim to mark World Heart Month and create health awareness, the Guwahati Neurological Research Centre (GNRC) on Friday conducted a health camp at the 'Shelter for Urban Homeless' in the Mathgharia area in Guwahati.
Talking to Fit Northeast, Dr Panchal said that most of the people are doing good, except for some who have issues of constipation and diabetes. One of the inmates of the house is a heart patient and is already on heart drugs.
The 'Shelter for Urban Homeless' is a shelter home for those who were earlier homeless and staying on the roads, railway stations, or sometimes on the footpath near the temples.
