Along with the whole nation and other hospitals of the country, city-based health care institute Marwari Hospitals also organized the 'One Nation, One day, One million Test Campaign in its hospital premises on Wednesday.
The initiative of the program was taken by Dr. Dinesh Agarwal, Head of Medicine department at Marwari Hospitals.
"India is the diabetic capital of the world. We have the 2nd largest population of diabetics in the world after China. Every 11th patient in India has diabetes looking at the current data. Diabetes is a silent killer. It involves the entire body organ. It increases heart disease by 3-4 times. So, to create awareness regarding this deadly disease, we, Marwari Hospitals, in association with RSSDI ( Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India), are organizing this 1 Nation, 1 day, 1 million Test Campaign in our hospital premises," said Dr. Dinesh Agarwal.Image: A senior citizen getting himself tested
He said RSSDI is the largest diabetic society in India adding that so, to create awareness about diabetics and to detect the disease in the masses, on 29th September, we are joining hands with RSSDI with a theme, 'One Nation, One Day, One Million'.

"This will be observed by 'Asia Book of Records. We are targeting 1 billion tests on that day all over India. From our hospital, we have done 400 tests today," he said.
Overall it was a successful in-house camp with the support of the hospital staff and hopefully, India will enter into the record of 1 million tests on Wednesday and will put its name in 'Asia Book of Records.
Moreover, an Advance Certificate Course in Diabetology under the Research Society for the Study of Diabetics in India (RSSDI) and Jaipur National University is going on at Marwari Hospitals. Image: A banner of the event
Till now, three batches have successfully completed the course under this wing and more batches and candidates are welcomed to enroll themselves into this course.
Along with diabetic tests, Marwari Hospitals also deal with other tests like RNS, Retinopathy Screening, Biothesiometer, Vascular Doppler, etc.
