Five Schools in Dibrugarh get Closure notice

Increasing number of cases in Dibrugarh has created a tense situation among the students

Covid cases are rapidly increasing at a good pace. It was not even a week ago that 59 people within the campus of Dibrugarh University tested Covid positive.
The Inspector of Schools in Dibrugarh, Dipika Choudhury on Friday has issued an order for the closing of five schools under Dibrugarh district for a period of 7 days after multiple Covid-19 cases were detected.
Nandeswar Chakravorty HS School has 15 cases, Sepon Hatipati High School has 8 cases, Chachani Jamunamukh HS School has 9 cases, Tipling Girls High School has 11 cases, Naharkatia HS School has 11 cases.
Dibrugarh District Level Internal Examinations have decided to postpone the upcoming Final and Pre-Boards Examinations for classes IX and X.
The schools will be open with due permission from the Deputy Commissioner.
