Fit Northeast's Covid-19 Vaccination Camp: Day 2 Report

On the second-day of the Covid-19 vaccination camp people's response has been very encouraging with 200 people availing vaccination under the supervision of an expert team of healthcare officials. The camp is being organized by Fit Northeast in collaboration with the Department of Health and Family Welfare at the Anganwadi Kendra located at KK Handique Nagar in Kahilipara.

The facility of Covid testing was made outside the vaccination camp and it was made mandatory for the people to go through the Covid test prior to the vaccination. Both the first and second doses of vaccination were available at the centre.

Before starting the activities of the day, Fit Northeast had a talk with Ms Kranti Gogoi, who is an Anganwadi teacher in the centre. Ms Gogoi expressed her happiness on the success and the overwhelming response of the people on the first day of the camp and said that they were looking forward for the same on the second day too.

Fit Northeast spoke to a few people after their vaccination. They were extremely happy that the vaccination camp was organized in their locality and they did not have to travel to any other place. Expressing their thankfulness towards Fit Northeast, they said that they are looking forward for similar medical-related camps in that area. They said that they had no doubt or hesitation in their minds regarding the vaccines and realized that vaccination is the only way out.

An awareness drive regarding the ongoing vaccination camp was conducted ahead of the camp which helped in spreading the information about the camp to all the people in the locality.
