Few more cities to get doses of Sputnik V vaccine

Through the official handle of Sputnik V, it was informed that the vaccine would be available in nine more cities across India, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Vishakhapatnam, Baddi, Kolhapur, and Miryalaguda.
A statement was issued by Dr Reddy's, who is the local distribution partner of this Russian vaccine. Published on Wednesday, the statement said that the project launch of this vaccine is extended to 9 cities, which was initially launched in Hyderabad.
Although, it was mentioned that the pilot launch was in its final stage, and necessary arrangements were made to ensure the availability of both doses.
The Russian Direct Investment Funds on June 10 announced that the efficacy of the Sputnik V vaccine was estimated to be at 94.3 per cent.
Hyderabad-based Dr Reddy's Laboratories has partnered with the Russian Direct Investment Funds for the rollout of the two-dose vaccine in India.

The first phase of the Sputnik V vaccine was rolled out by Apollo Hospitals. Dr Reddy's Laboratories had started on a pilot basis on May 17 in Hyderabad and on May 18 in Vishakhapatnam.
