Egypt gets green signal to start the trial of the country-made vaccine
The government has taken up various steps to ensure vaccination of every person
Egypt has announced that it will start clinical trials for a domestically made coronavirus vaccine.
Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Egypt's acting Health Minister on Sunday and said that the country is all set to start trials of its locally-made vaccine COVI VAX.
He added that the trial proceedings will start with tens, then with hundred and will eventually proceed with thousands.
The announcements made on Sunday made it clear that the researchers who have produced the vaccines were ready to make trials on their subjects.
According to government officials, 14% of Egypt's population has been vaccinated.COVI VAX has been recognized by the World Health Organization as one of the hundreds of formulas around the world that are in development.

The COVI VAX works by including proteins from the original virus to provoke an immune response.
The Government in Egypt has taken up various steps to encourage more and more people to get vaccinated.
An order has been passed which says that all government employees are expected to show their vaccination proof in order to enter their workplaces. According to government officials, 14% of Egypt's population has been vaccinated.
According to the details from Egypt's Ministry of Health, 19,435 people have died till date and 3,43,026 have been infected.
