Covid vaccination in Assam crosses 4 crore mark
Health Minister Keshab Mahanta lauds efforts of health department in achieving the feat
Assam has achieved 4 Crore Covid - vaccination on Monday.
The health department in Assam has achieved the milestone after successfully vaccinating 4,00,22,217 people, out of which 2,29,02,926 were administered with the 1st dose while 1,70,62,917 have received their 2nd doses.
Latest records say that 56,374 booster doses have been administered among the frontline workers so far in the state.
Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday issued a statement that Covid-19 vaccination is not mandatory but the people , who are not willing to take the vaccine should not come out from their respective home.Assam Health minister Keshab Mahanta took to his Twitter to extend his heartfelt gratitude to all who were involved in the Covid vaccination drive. "Over 4 crore doses of COVID19 vaccines have been administered so far in Assam. Congratulations to the citizens for getting vaccinated. Gratitude to all health officials, district admin., Frontline, Asha & Anganwadi workers, Gaon Buras & BLOs for their hard work & dedication," Keshab Mahanta rote in a tweet.
