The two-day-long Covid-19 vaccination camp organized by Fit Northeast at Dakshin Barsajai Maidam Durga Mandir at Lalmati in Guwahati has come to an end with a very positive note. The camp was organized by Fit Northeast in collaboration with the Department of Health and Family Welfare Assam. A total of 472 beneficiaries received their Covid vaccines at the camp.
On the first day of the camp 272 people were vaccinated. Among these, 167 were male and 105 were female. Most of the people vaccinated received their first dose. A total of 203 beneficiaries received their first doses while 69 received their second doses. Among the 200 beneficiaries of the second day, 146 people received their first dose of Covishield vaccine and 54 people took their second dose.

"It is a good feeling to associate with Fit Northeast for such a great purpose of vaccinating the masses. We are lucky enough that we got an overwhelming response from so many people. People voluntarily came to take vaccines, which shows their awareness. I am also thankful to Fit Northeast for their co-operation and help. Their help has made my work much easier and maybe it is the result of their good wishes that we could vaccinate as many as 272 people successfully on the first day of the vaccination camp itself. Even today we vaccinated 200 people, which is also a good number", said Popi Das, the ANM who was a part of the camp.
"We are feeling so happy that we were able to do such a social work. We received a positive response from the people. I would even like to express my gratitude and thankfulness to each and every member of our team for working dedicatedly to make this vaccination camp a success", said Soma Das, an in-house member of Fit Northeast.

After getting her vaccination done, she spoke to Fit Northeast and said that she was feeling relaxed after taking the vaccination. She said that her vaccination plans got delayed as she has Covid nearly 3 months ago, but now as she has recovered, both she and her husband took their Covid vaccines at the camp today.

Speaking to Fit Northeast, she said that the vaccination camp has been a great initiative taken by this new and unique web portal in the North East. The cleanliness and discipline maintained at the vaccination site impressed her most. Thanking the entire team of Fit Northeast team, she wished Fit Northeast good luck and a bright future.
An announcement in the nearby areas was made in the morning hours prior to the start of the camp and once again in the afternoon, which helped in the process of bringing more people to the camp.
The successful vaccination camp concluded with the felicitation of Popi Das for her active participation in the vaccination camp. It is commendable and necessary to mention that Ms Das has single-handedly vaccinated a total of 272 beneficiaries on the first day and 200 on the second day of the camp.

Soon after the felicitation, the founder of Fit Northeast, Sijo Jocab delivered the vote of thanks to all the members of Fit Northeast who took active participation in the camp along with every member of the Dakshin Barsajai Maidam Durga Mandir Committee who took care of everything for the two-day long camp.
