COVID-19 restrictions relaxed in Nagaland

Nagaland state government has relaxed certain activities throughout the state after the high powered committee on COVID-19

The Nagaland state government has relaxed certain activities throughout the state after the high powered committee on COVID-19 reviewed the COVID-19 situation with members of the health department and state-level room at a meeting. This order comes with immediate effect till February 28, 2022.
State chief secretary J Alam in an order notified that the night curfew which was from 9 pm to 5 am would be lifted from the state. With the restrictions lifted, the government has also directed everyone to adhere to the restrictions and guidelines inorder to prevent further spread of COVID-19.

Offline classes for those students studying in pre-primary classes will be allowed starting from March 1, 2022 subject to parental consent of the student concerned and 50% attendance with subject to the fulfilment of all the conditions and SOP as issued by the home department.

Public social gatherings will be allowed outside containment zones beyond 50% to 100% capacity both indoors and outdoors subject to all the participants being asymptomatic and fully vaccinated while maintaining all relevant SOPs.
The department of Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Nagaland has urged the people to continue following COVID appropriate behaviours which include wearing face masks, washing hands, maintaining social distancing, close contact setting and closed spaces, getting vaccinated and avoiding crowded places.
