Covid-19: Mizoram surpasses other Northeastern states

Besides every step taken to minimise the number of Covid cases in the Northeastern states, some states are still showing a rising graph

As the process of vaccination is pacing up, the number of Covid-19 cases is gradually going down.
In comparison to the other states of the Northeastern region, the number of Covid cases in Mizoram has surpassed Manipur. Manipur has occupied the second position in terms of having the highest number of infections after Assam.
The total number of cases in Mizoram was 1,24,026 on October 5 against Manipur having 1,23,957 on the same day.
As per data by the Health and Family Welfare Ministry, Assam on November 7registered a total of 137 new Covid-19 cases. The positivity rate logged at 0.72% and 2 people lost their lives.
Mizoram registered 508 new cases within the last 24 hours, contributing 63.74% of the total 797 fresh infections in the 8 northeastern states. Mizoram remains in the list of the top 5 states having the highest infection.

A total number of 2,89,32,622 people have been vaccinated to date among which 2,02,91,039 have taken their first doses and 86,41,583 have taken their second doses.
