Assam scripts record, vaccinates 7 lakh people against Covid

The total number of beneficiaries who got their Covid-19 vaccines has crossed 7 lakh on September 17, 2021

As per the direction of Assam  Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, a Mega COVID-19 Vaccination Drive was held on Friday across Assam. The prime focus was to vaccinate the second dose to the people who had administered their first dose in the Mega Vaccination Drive which was held on June 21, 22 and 23 2021.
The drive also facilitated the administration of the first dose of COVID-19 Vaccine to eligible people.
The team of health officials activated all the COVID Vaccination Centres (CVCs) which were functional during the Mega Vaccination Drive held in the month of June. Additional CVCs were also created for more coverage of 1st as well as 2nd doses. The step regarding activation of the previous CVCs was initiated to assist the eligible people to get their second doses without any hindrances or confusion.
A total of 4,575 CVCs across the state were functional today to make the Mega Vaccination Drive successful with Nagaon district administering the highest number with 54,561 doses followed by Cachar with 50,630 and Tinsukia with 47,655 doses.
Assam has achieved a milestone figure by inoculating a total number of 7 lakh people.

All the Guardian Ministers & Guardian Secretaries were also present in their respective districts for boosting up the vaccination teams for more coverage and achieving the above target.
