Assam Government informs about new guidelines and new curfew timings.

Intending to bring down the number of Covid cases in the state, the Assam Government of June 4 has issued some recent guidelines which are to be applicable across the state from June 6, 2021.

Assam, on Thursday, reported over 4,309 new Covid 19 cases and 46 deaths as per the health department date.

In order to improvise the current Covid situation in Assam, the Assam Government on Friday (04/06/2021) announced that the restrictions in the state are extended till June 16.

Earlier, the restrictions were only till June 5, 2021.

In connection to this, the state Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, informed the new timings of the curfew. The curfew will start from 1 PM up to 5 AM the next day.

In order to improvise the current Covid situation in Assam, the Assam Government on Friday (04/06/2021) announced that the restrictions in the state are extended till June 16.

This new curfew timing and other restrictions shall be applicable throughout Assam from June 6, 2021.

Along with it, some other guidelines were issued, which highlighted that all the government and private offices would remain closed till June 15. All the shops and other commercial establishments shut down at 12 noon every day. There is a total ban on the movement of an individual from 1 PM to 5 PM. People are allowed to avail the dine-in facility in restaurants till 12 noon. After 1 PM, the food outlets will provide only home delivery services. Moreover, the eateries, which are a part of any hotel or resort, can allow their guest up to 12 noon. Only room service will be allowed for the guest post at 1 PM.

All inter-district transport services and movement will remain suspended. The cold storages and warehouses will remain open, unlike the counters attached to them that are required to shut down by 12 noon.

All the government, semi-government officers in the rank of deputy secretary or above and any senior executive in the non-government sector with their chief support staff are allowed to attend office.
