Assam Government Allows to Conduct Recruitment and Entrance Examination for Higher Education

Examinations on offline mode for greater interest of Candidates

After requests received from various departments, organizations and agencies the Government has decided to conduct recruitment examinations for higher education with certain directives issued on July 14, 2021.
The directives include as such:
1. Recruitment and entrance examinations for the higher educations are permitted across the State with strict adherence to maintenance of Covid-19 protocols including observance of COVID appropriate behavior by all concerns.
The examinations should be conducted with 50% of seating capacity of the examination hall or 50 candidates whichever is lower. Also, not more than 200 candidates should be allowed to take examination at any centre in a shift.

3. Such candidates appearing in the said examination will be exempted from the restrictions on inter-district movement, movement during curfew hours, odd-even formula of vehicular movement in urban areas on production of valid admit card.
As per guidelines issued by the Assam Disaster Management on July 6, it was directed that containment zones should be set up in both rural and urban areas with restricted gatherings or meetings in any open or closed space.
The Ministry of Home Affairs issued an order directing the implementations of the same instructions from June 28 till July 31.
