Assam: City-based hospital hosts health check-up camp in Guwahati

In order to mark World Heart Month, GNRC has been doing many health camps at various locations

Guwahati Neurological Research Centre ( GNRC), a premier health care institute of Assam,  has conducted a day-long health check-up camp at the Guwahati Press Club.
The health camp offered free health check-ups for the people from the media fraternity.

Well-known medicine specialist, Dr Bineta Singh along with her team to the journalists of the city.
Dietician Nomi Mahan was also present at the event. Talking to Fit Northeast, Nomi Mahan said,  "It is a fact that due to the busy lifestyle, we often ignore our food habits or timings but it is extremely a wrong practice and is dangerous in the long run."

Talking to Fit Northeast, Nomi Mahan said that it is a fact that due to the busy lifestyle, we often ignore our food habits or timings but it is extremely a wrong practice and is dangerous in the long run.
The three things which are important for a healthy life are- eating suitable food at the correct timing, taking 8 hours of sleep and exercise for half an hour every day, she said. 
Mahan added that in this generation, many people have health is like thyroid, PCOs, diabetes.  ''These are such conditions that will remain with the person till his/her death but the control is in the person's hands," she said.

The member of the Guwahati Press Club expressed their gratitude towards GNRC for such a great initiative. 
More than 40 journalists have attended this health camp.
