Ashadeep organises a vaccination camp for PwDs
In order to safeguard the lives of persons with disability, Asahdeep, coupled with various other organisations, came up with a noble cause.
A Covid -19 vaccination programme was organised by Ashadeep in association with LEHS/WISH foundation and Saksham. The vaccination program was successful in collaboration with the State Health and Family Welfare Department and the National Health Mission, where persons with disabilities(PwDs) along with their caretakers were vaccinated. The event took place at the Ashadeep Day Rehabilitation Centre yesterday.
Covaxin was inoculated to all the 120 PwDs with their caregivers by a team of expert para-medical staff from the Health Department. During the programme, the para-medical staff even created awareness regarding the pandemic. Comprehensive safety was ensured at the vaccination site.

The Director of Ashadeep, Dr Anjana Goswami, expressed her gratitude to everyone for their co-operation in making the program a success. She further added that it was remarkably essential to get them vaccinated, as they are more prone to infections and related complications.

Munindra Nath Ngatey, the Director of Health Services, said that the government is sincerely committed to vaccinating every person. He further added that the government paid specific attention to get old aged people, persons with disability vaccinated as soon as possible.
State head of the LEHS/Wish Foundation expressed his satisfaction over a long time plan turning into reality.
