Chairing an E-meeting, Khandu discussed various state issues including petroleum and hydrocarbon extraction and exploration, criminal and crime tracking network and system, construction of a road to Tali, multi-storey parking in civil secretariat. Khandu highlighted that the cabinet has passed the "Arunachal Pradesh Policy on Psychoactive Substances 2021-26" to curb the drug menace in the state.
The web portal on Covid management is expected to contribute positively towards management of the Covid situation faced by the State. Reviewing the situation of the region, the Indian Council of Medical Research has predicted that there is a probability that the third wave might affect the population of the North East. After research, ICMR said that a vast majority of the population is still vulnerable to Covid-19. Senior scientists at the IMCR said that the lockdown (in few districts) and the time restriction is keeping the number of rising cases under little control and vaccination is the only way out to protect the state from the third wave.
