Arunachal Pradesh CM virtually inaugurates Web portal on Covid

The period since the last march has been very difficult for many, especially for the school-going children.

Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu has launched two web portals on 22 July 2021. One of the portals was dedicated to the education department and the other was the "State Control Room", which mainly worked for the management of the Covid situation in the country. The Department of Information Technology designed both the portals.

The web portal on Covid management is expected to contribute positively towards management of the Covid situation faced by the State. Reviewing the situation of the region, the Indian Council of Medical Research has predicted that there is a probability that the third wave might affect the population of the North East. After research, ICMR said that a vast majority of the population is still vulnerable to Covid-19. Senior scientists at the IMCR said that the lockdown (in few districts) and the time restriction is keeping the number of rising cases under little control and vaccination is the only way out to protect the state from the third wave.
