AIIMS to resume inpatient admissions and elective surgeries

Delhi is currently witnessing a drop in the number of Coronavirus cases. To ease the level of stress among the patients, a leading hospital in the city is thinking to resume back several services.

The administration department of Delhi AIIMS has passed an order which informs that the hospital has resumed its regular inpatient admissions and elective surgeries at its general and private wards. That will be applicable in all the centres of AIIMS.
The order, passed on Wednesday, stated that as Covid cases were going down in Delhi, they can now restart the regular activities in the hospitals either than keeping it occupied for the Covid patients.
The heads of all the respective clinical departments are requested to provide a proposed number to offer OPD follow-ups to the patients over the phone.

The lockdown induced by the government played a pivotal role in bringing down the rate of infection in the state. Delhi was one of the worst-hit city by the second wave.
On Thursday, the city recorded 158 new cases with ten deaths, with the positivity rate dipping to 0.20 per cent.
