AIIMS starts vaccination screening for children

It can be assumed that children below the age groups of 18 are ready to fight the 3rd wave of the Coronavirus. This report has the detail.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences has started the recruitment of clinical trials among children. The screening of the Covaxin began on children of the age group of 2 to 6 at AIIMS today.
For the vaccination process, 525 children will be divided into three age groups, respectively 2 to 6, 6 to 12 and 12 to 18.
On May 18, the Drug Controller General of India granted permission for conducting phase 2 and 3 clinical trials of Covaxin among children.
The children will be injected intramuscular on days 0 and 28th.

The government has cautioned that even if though covid has not taken any severe shape among the children. But it can make an impact if the behaviour of the virus changes.

It has also been added that preparations have been increased to deal with any variety of situation.
The vaccination for children holds an immense significance as people are worried that the third wave might affect the children more.
Recently Patna AIIMS started vaccinating children from the age of 12 to 18.
Authorities at AIIMS assured that the children would undergo constant monitoring to see if any side-effect pops up.
