Dr Bedabrata Pathak, the managing director of Gate Hospital has inaugurated a new scheme named "NAVA JIVAN' under the 'Kanak Chandra Memorial Trust' of the hospital. The scheme was launched on the 1st of September 2021.
As per the scheme, any patient of any accident case or any kind of medical emergency will avail completely free treatment for their first night. Every treatment and investigation for the first night will be free of cost.
The facilities including ICU, ventilators, CT Scan, doctor's fee, X-ray, ECG, all the blood tests will be absolutely free. The charges will be imposed from 8 AM of the next morning.

Addressing the media, Dr Pathak expressed that this scheme will be helpful for every section of society. He even added that since the inception of the Gate Hospital, they have been involved in many CSR activities including health awareness camps, free health check-up camps etc.
The hospital also provides ICU beds to poor people at the rate of Rs 2000 per day and concession at the rate of various surgeries, he said.
