408 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Meghalaya, 977 recovers

As per the State health department data, there is a notable improvement in the state recovery rates in the last few days.

As per the Meghalaya health department bulletin update, 408 new COVID-19 cases were registered on Monday alone, taking the tally of active records to 6,913.
977 new recovered cases were also recorded in the last 24 hours. The present count of total recovered reports reaches 28,107 in the state.
As per the State health department data, the Covid-19 patients' recovery tally stands at 28,107, showing an improvement in the recovery rates in the state in the last few days.
Meantime, 14 new deaths imposed by the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours are added. Presently, the total number of Covid-19 caused deaths in the state stands at 578.

Health Services Director Aman War informed that out of 14 death reports, East Khasi Hills reported 12 cases. Whereas South West Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills each recorded one fatality case.
1359 people were vaccinated in the state yesterday alone. The total number of people who have received their first dose in the region stands at 3,91,226, while 74,340 people have received their second dose of Covid vaccination in Meghalaya.
